The road from Midelt follows a long and rocky trail that crosses a broad plain, and from which one can see the intersection of the High Atlas and the Middle Atlas on the horizon. The view changes and the cliffs become steeper after four hours of driving. The journey begins when you arrive at a sheepfold.

To get the most out of the experience, it is best to go for a hike in the woods.

Cirque de Jaafar is full of spectacular views, which are suitable to get beautiful pictures, witness eagles flying over the hills, and follow mule routes that lead to valleys filled with kasbahs. Nature enthusiasts will find a clean and preserved natural landscape, along with reliefs of steep-sloping cliffs, as well as beautiful cedar and oak forests.

The views of the Eastern High Atlas are breathtaking, and the challenging route gives a unique sense of adventure.

The gorges and the surroundings can be explored by mountain bike (VTT), motorcycle, or on foot, following different and wild circuits. There are several hiking trips accessible, including one to Jbel Ayachi.
