International Date Fair in Morocco

Under the theme “The integrated management of natural resources: for sustainability and resilience of the oasis ecosystem”, the 11th edition of the International Exhibition of dates Erfoud (Province of Errachidia) will take place on October 27, 2022, and will last until October 30, 2022. The objective of this exhibition is to honor the plant resources mainly the date palm considered as a means of combating desertification and sand, and a means of intercepting intense solar radiation. The exhibition will highlight the oasis and will value this “green and productive” dam.

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the SIDATTES returns this year, after an absence of two consecutive years due to health considerations related to the Covid-19, in the form of several cultural, scientific and professional conferences chaired by Mohammed Sadiki, Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests and in the presence of multiple personalities from the economic, agricultural and phoenicultural field including the Emirati Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Mariam Bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb.

Spread over an area of 40,000 sqm, this edition will touch several poles and each of them will be animated by competitions, workshops and meetings between operators of the sector, all accompanied by folk entertainment and cultural evenings throughout the week.

In addition to Moroccan producers, this event will be marked by the participation of 15 countries with a total of 220 exhibitors with the aim of developing the sectors related to the oasis ecosystem, to enhance the date palm, to promote the oasis culture and instill a new socio-economic dynamic in the region.
